So, If you're wondering what are the places in Delhi for shopping. Then this blog is for you.

     Before we start, please have a look on my other Blogs about Nainital and Jaipur. Do share and keep rocking.

       Well, we're here to talk about shopping places in Delhi. So we'll break this into the categories. I recommend going these market at evening time as the temperature will low comparison to noon and let me remind you if you're going on weekends, Be prepare for a huge crowd as all office workers are free at the same time.

Tip: If you have to try your bargaining skills, have a try here. The maximum you'll bargain, the more original price will come out.

1. Palika Market: Well, Palika is a well-known place for shopping in Delhi. It's basically an underground market (fully AC) between an inner and outer circle of Connaught Place. If you want to go here, you have to get down at Rajiv Chowk metro station and then you can see the signboard for Palika market or ask any security personnel for the same. The place is connected via Delhi public transport buses as well. It's popular for clothing but you can also find footwear, electronics, perfumes and some other stuff.

2. Connaught Place: It's near the Palika market and most crowded place in entire Delhi except Chandni chow market. It looks awesome with British era buildings with a white appearance. You just say the brand name, it's here. Almost every (As per I know) the brand's showroom is available here. It's a well organised and beautiful place. It's famous for clothing but you can find here an offer a range of classy fabric, jewellery, Indian books, handicraft items, electronic goods and more.
       Beside these showrooms, you can find many restaurants, cafe and multiplexers. The nearest metro is Rajiv Chowk metro station.

3. Janpath: It's a small distance from Connaught Place to Janpath which you can cover by foot too or you can get down at Janpath metro station (Blue Line). Again you need you bargaining skills to be tested. Basically, in every open market, you have to test the same. So if any open market I forgot or didn't mention you can take a guess about the bargaining (Especially foreigners). The products are not best but yes pretty decent. You can use them in daily life. Here, If you can't find any particular style or clothing material you can share your mob no with the vendor. he'll call you whenever he'll get the same.

Timings: 10 AM - 9 PM (Monday-Saturday)
               8 AM - 8 PM (Only on Sundays)

4. Sarojini Market: The nearest metro station is INA metro station. It's a cheap market and also has fashionable clothes as per your budget. You can find anything in this market but still famous for ladies clothing. Again you need your bargaining quality again here. Here beside the market, you can also find Dominoes, Macdonald, Burger-king, Bikaner-wala and some other restaurants too.

5. Lajpat Nagar Market: The nearest metro station is Lajpat Nagar metro station (On Violet Line). From this metro station, you can walk or can hire a rickshaw. Again it's popular for ladies clothing but you can find all types of clothes too. In ladies clothing, you can find traditional Indian Dresses like salwar kameez and sarees. You can also pick good quality footwear, bags and other accessories too.

6. Karol Bagh Market: The nearest metro station is Karol Bagh Metro station. It is one of the oldest markets in Delhi. It's popularly known for beautiful bridal wears and traditional Indian garments. You can also find cosmetics, books, electric items, shoes and gadgets. There are some well know places as well nearby in this area like Ghaffar Market (Popular for mobiles, laptops and some imported goods), Samjh road (For second-hand books) and Bank Street (Popular for gold jewellery items)

7. Khan Market: The nearest metro station is Khan market metro station (On Violet Line). It's one of the posh shopping places in Delhi and specially designed U-shaped market. It has well-organised bookshops, Showrooms of branded clothing, Boutiques and many stores which offer classy lifestyle items. It's also famous for cafes, restaurants and some food joints which serve the awesome cuisines of Delhi.

8. Delhi Haat: The nearest metro station is INA metro station. It's widely popular for handicraft and handloom products of Indian culture and people. That's why it named as Delhi Haat (cause it reminds how Indian villages' shop are organised). Yes, there is an entry ticket for going into this market. So you'll not unnecessary crowd in this market.

Timing: 11 AM - 9 PM (All days open)
Entry fee: INR 20 per person for an adult.
                         INR 10 per children up to 12 years.

9. Chandni Chowk: It's the most popular shopping places in Delhi and it's like the whole world has come here for shopping (Cause of a lot of peoples). People visit this market for inexpensive things. Here you'll find everything you need. Books, Clothing, electronics products food everything you'll find here. The nearest metro station is Chandni Chowk metro station. This market is in front of Red Fort.

10. Greater Kailash: The nearest metro station is Kailash Colony metro station (On Violet line). It has 2 section of markets known as the M block market and N block market. This place is the crowded cause of lots of locals. It's one of the posh areas of Delhi so the market is made for the same. It's famous for clothing, jewellery, street food corner, footwear. It's a nice hangout paces cause of lots of pubs, restaurants and nightclub.

11. Nehru place: Nehru place is the biggest Electronics market in Delhi (especially for Computer stuff). The nearest metro station is Nehru place metro station (On Violet Line). It's famous for desktop hardware, laptop, printers, printer's cartages, hard disks. Basically, you can say it's the IT market. You can also find some clothing here although as per my perspective "not recommended at all".

         Well, That was the list of open markets in Delhi. However, there are lots of malls in Delhi where you can do your shopping as well (It's not possible to go out at noon cause of high temp and no AC. So malls are the best choice at noon times. Some of the famous malls are listed below.
